Original Equipment (OE) Tires:
Acura wanted to develop a tire that optimized all performance attributes of Acura vehicles. Tires that provided the right balance of performance, comfort, wear, and fuel economy. To achieve this they worked with original tire manufacturers such as Michelin and Bridgestone and ran extensive tests in labs, on the track and on the road.
Non OE Tire Options:
Other tire options are offer by Piazza Acura of Ardmore which are available in certain specifications from Acura Original Tires. Some of the tires characteristics are the same as the characteristics of the original tires but there are a number that are not. These variable characteristics perform differently resulting in differences in ride comfort, interior noise levels, wear rate, fuel economy, steering feel snow traction, wet and dry handling and braking performance. Non OE Tire brands offered by Piazza Acura are Continental and Hankook, both of which come with a 12-month Road Hazard Warranty.
